Trent Van Alfen
Director, Impact Strategy

Trent Van Alfen is a Director on the Center’s Impact Strategy team. In this role, Trent leads projects helping organizations develop strategies to grow and measure their impact across a variety of issue areas. Previously, he worked at a national healthy housing nonprofit where he launched a first-of-its-kind financing model to expand a home-based asthma program for families on Medicaid in New York City. With a focus on social impact through every step of his career, he has taught middle school Spanish, consulted for social enterprises in the US, Mexico, and India, and led a field experiment on ethnic identification in South Africa. He holds an MBA from Georgetown McDonough School of Business, where he was a Global Social Enterprise and Development Fellow, and a BA in International Relations from Brigham Young University.
